AN impressive cash boost of over £2m has been injected into the iconic home interior business Sterling Home before it reopens its fully refurbished and reimagined Aberdeen store this July.
Expanding on the already knowledgeable and experienced team, Sterling bosses are delighted to welcome an additional 15 new recruits to the Denmore Road store team where final touches are being made to the iconic new development.
Trading from this site since 1991, the store had been closed for 4 months to undergo an impressive and major transformation. And the new 75,000 sq. ft ‘home of inspiration’ store promises a ‘unique, forward-thinking’ shopping experience for all interior home projects – big or small.
The Scottish family-owned business is revolutionising how those looking to ‘make a house a home’ furnish and finish their personal space with beautiful and trusted goods and brands. Integrating the quality and stylish furniture the brand is known for with a wide variety of on-trend homewares is what sets the concept store apart from industry competitors. From wall art and accessories to hardwood flooring and rugs, Sterling has something for all tastes and budgets.
The hugely anticipated shopping experience will also offer a huge Cook Shop, whilst the al fresco lovers of Aberdeen will adore the extensive garden department, including a huge range of outdoor furniture, state of the art BBQs and stunning outdoor living accessories.
Sterling Home is also delighted to exclusively bring Danish industry-leading experts, BoConcept to the people of Aberdeen. In the form of a 4000 sq ft store within the premises, customers can expect the best in contemporary Danish furniture in the heart of the city. Not lacking in innovation, the brand’s offerings includes a complimentary 3D design service, eight room-themed studios and stunningly curated private zones where they can meet with design experts.
The store will also offer top quality items from other renowned homeware and furniture brands, such as Le Creuset, LSA, Laura Ashley, Timorous Beasties, Wax Lyrical, G-plan, Natuzzi, Nicoletti, Xoon, Venjakob and countless other industry stalwarts.
Trusted Sterling Home staff will be on hand from early July to give expert industry and design-led advice, as Aberdonian shoppers navigate the stunning new store which features a bold new exterior look and an upscaled Cobbs café offering an array of meals and snacks.
Gordon Mearns, Managing Director of Sterling Home, said: “We are delighted to be back bringing our much-loved customers an entirely new and specially curated shopping experience.”
“This is an exciting new chapter for our family-owned business. We hope you can see the ways in which we’ve not only invested in the store, but our incredible staff who are fully-fledged experts in the industry.”
“Creating and nurturing opportunity is at the heart of what we do, so we are delighted to welcome 15 new recruits to join our team and to work with us at our Sterling concept store.”
“Furniture is still very much at our core, but we have reimagined our brand to also offer a much wider range of non-furniture products to suit all budgets. We are looking forward to welcoming both familiar faces and new customers through our doors next month.”
Sterling Home Aberdeen will open its doors this July with an array of launch events to be announced soon.
