Gary McConnell, Aleron commercial director, said: “Having already completed two successful Hydrate Remediation campaigns in Nigeria through RMC we are very pleased to formalise this partnership.

“Aleron and RMC have great synergies, between both companies we will be able to deliver ROV Tooling solutions with local content and in country support.”

The tooling packages will support a diverse range of applications including subsea construction, intervention, maintenance as well as ROV survey & inspection.

Folarin Bolatiwa, RMC managing director, said: “From day one of discussions with Aleron on potentially working together in Nigeria, the mutual drive to deliver quality products/services to our clients was never in question.

“This has now been demonstrated after delivering two intervention works this year, one of which was during the global lockdown from the COVID-19 pandemic.”

The announcement follows Aleron’s appointment of their Norwegian partner, Rental Technology & Services (RTS), earlier this year.
