COUNCILLORS on Tuesday approved the creation and operation of an Aberdeen City Council Trusted Trader Scheme (ACCTTS) as part of the Home Improvements sector.

ACCTTS aims to provide a list of local businesses who have agreed to be vetted by Trading Standards, so that they have an understanding of their rights and responsibilities, as well as those of the customer.

“It can be a difficult task finding the right local trades people to carry out works, so this scheme will help people consider their options, and promote businesses who have a track record of operating in the city.”
