A SECTION of Ellon Road is to be closed outwith morning and afternoon rush hour from Friday (16 June) to allow for necessary resurfacing works.

The section, between the Broadfold Road junction and The Parkway/old AECC roundabout, is to be closed from 9.30am to 3.30pm on Friday.

It will be open, with ramps, on Saturday and Sunday. Ramps will also be in place outwith the closure times.

The section will have a 9.30am to 3.30pm closure from Monday June 19 to Friday June 23 by which time the works are expected to be finished.

An Aberdeen City Council spokeswoman said: “We apologise for the section of road being closed however it is for necessary resurfacing works, and is outwith the morning and afternoon rush hours.”
