A PRESTIGIOUS line up of industry speakers have been confirmed for the flagship annual dinner of the Energy Institute (EI) Aberdeen, Highlands and Islands branch this month.

The much-anticipated event is one of the highlights of the local branch calendar and it will take place at Aberdeen’s Marcliffe Hotel & Spa on Thursday, April 27th.  The evening has a long-established reputation for attracting an audience of up 400 delegates to hear from high-profile presenters from energy and associated industries.

This year, they will include Louise Kingham CBE, Senior Vice President, Europe & Head of Country, UK, bp plc.  Former CEO of the Energy Institute, Louise leads bp in the UK and continental Europe integrating bp’s business activities. She works to identify opportunities to deliver decarbonized energy solutions at scale, working with a network of 20 European heads of country to tell bp’s story, liaise with governments, build, and grow key relationships and seek out partners to collaborate with on the journey to net zero.

She will be joined by the Rt Hon Prof Charles Hendry CBE HonFEI, Vice President of the Energy Institute and previous Minister of State for Energy from 2010-12. He was previously the Conservative Party’s spokesman on energy issues, from 2005-2010, and continues to work extensively across the energy sector.

Other keynote speakers on the evening will be Nick Wayth CEng FEI FIMechE (Chief Executive of the Energy Institute) and Rebecca Allison (Chair EI AHI Branch and Net Zero Technology Centre).

Rebecca said: “The dinner is undoubtedly the highlight of the branch calendar, and we look forward to continuing its long-standing reputation for attracting a large audience to hear from a line-up of eminent speakers.”
