HOSPITALITY businesses in Aberdeen are being urged to get in touch with the city council’s protective services team so officers can liaise with them for getting assessments carried out before the sector can re-open on Wednesday.

It comes following the announcement today by the Scottish Government that local restrictions are being lifted.

Managers and business owners in the sector were also reminded of the help available to them with a £1 million fund to support hospitality businesses directly impacted by the local Aberdeen restrictions implemented.

Aberdeen City Council Protective Services is undertaking assessments across all relevant hospitality establishments either by a site visit or a telephone-based assessment before Wednesday. The work will provide assurance that the sector has all the controls in place as required by Scottish government guidance.

Hospitality businesses are also reminded a £1million fund has been set up to support those directly impacted by the local Aberdeen restrictions implemented on August 5.

Businesses or premises which have been forced to close as a direct result of COVID regulations (lockdown restrictions) are eligible to apply.
