OEG Energy Group secures turnkey marine coordination contract for Hai Long Offshore Wind Project in Taiwan

OEG Energy Group Limited announces that its subsidiaries, Specialist Marine Consultants (SMC) and Fern Communications (Fern), both OEG Renewables businesses, have been awarded a contract for a turnkey marine coordination solution for the Hai Long Offshore Wind Project in Taiwan. The 1,022 MW project, a collaboration between Northland Power Inc., Yushan Energy Pte. Ltd., and Mitsui & Co., Ltd., is set to become Taiwan’s largest offshore wind initiative, catering to over one million households.

OEG Renewables, with a robust presence in Taiwan, has secured its 20th project in the country, 15 of which involve marine coordination contracts. This reinforces the company’s stature as a leader in providing specialised services to offshore wind markets in the APAC region and globally.

The turnkey contract encompasses the installation and commissioning phases, featuring an experienced marine coordination team from the UK. Additionally, a local Taiwanese team will be developed for long-term management of the project’s marine coordination centre.
