Royal Bank funding has allowed the haulage firm to purchase a new commercial premises next door to their existing base, drastically reducing their road emissions when transporting vehicles between the two sites.

The new repair station has also been fully renovated to improve energy efficiency, including the installation of insulation and six electric charging points available to both staff and customers.

Founded in 2009 by directors Neil Bremner, Gavin Murray and Michael Lacey, Grampian Continental has since expanded its operations to Europe and North Africa, as well as servicing homegrown industries such as agriculture, forestry, fishing, and construction.

Gavin Murray, Co-director at Grampian Continental, said: “Moving our repair site closer to our main office has been a complete game changer. Not only has it allowed us to reduce the amount of time our team are spending traveling between the two, but we’ve also seen a drastic decrease in our fuel emissions.

“Since the initial planning stage, it was always a priority to ensure the new premises was as energy efficient as possible. This funding from Royal Bank of Scotland not only allowed us to make the initial purchase, but we’ve also been able to undertake all the necessary adaptions to ensure we’re running as green an operation as possible.

“The new electric charging facilities are a particular point of pride, and its great to be able to offer those services to our colleagues and customers.”

David Snell, Regional Relationship Manager at Royal Bank of Scotland, said: “Over the past 14 years, Grampian Continental has become Aberdeen’s largest transport business, boasting an international client base and sector-leading contracts.
