Aberdeen based ANM Group (Aberdeen and Northern Marts) has concluded the purchase of Glasgow based Sweeney Kincaid.   Sweeney Kincaid which was established in 1991 is located in the Hillington Business Park, Glasgow. It is a leading provider of auction and valuation services of industrial, commercial, and business assets, vehicles and equipment.

Sweeney Kincaid will become a subsidiary of ANM Group, retaining all its employees. Managing Director, Russell Kincaid, will continue in his role. The acquisition of the business is seen as a key opportunity for the Aberdeen based business to open more diverse routes to market in, and from, the central belt, across the south of Scotland and the north of England.

The acquisition includes a six acre purpose built auction centre at Hillington, Glasgow, with 6000 sq. ft. of buildings and modular office space.

The move is welcomed by Chief Executive of ANM Group, Grant Rogerson, who said that he was thrilled to have made such an exciting acquisition the Group. He added, “Sweeney Kincaid brings a wealth of experience and trading knowledge within the Industrial Asset Sector across the UK. This along with their industry leading technology will be beneficial to the Group and bring a range of exciting opportunities for our business, and in turn will benefit our members and customers.

Enthusiasm for the acquisition was echoed by Russell Kincaid, Managing Director of Sweeney Kincaid. He commented: “We’re excited to be joining the ANM Group.
